Feel better by volunteering near you

Christmas may be over but, you don’t have to stop sharing the gift of volunteering! Dr. Mark Vellan has taken the spirit of giving to heart this season by assembling Thanksgiving and Christmas food packages for those in need at the First Born Community Development Food Distribution Center. Some of the staff (including myself!) joined Dr. Vellan in a F3, which stands for Fitness, Faith and Fellowship, workout earlier those mornings and then stayed to help direct cars, pack food, and hand out boxes.

There’s always ways to help here in Greenville, NC. However, if you want an adventure, F3 always packs a punch and they’re located all over North Carolina. Why you should serve

Dr. Mark Vellan insists that a helping hand can lead to a happy heart, mind, and maybe even spine! Always look for ways to be a helper to others - you would want the same done for you. So, not only does volunteering help others, but it can help you as well! Gain new friends, a sense of purpose, and a new perspective. I’m not kidding - helping others can lower anxiety, tension, and depression. At this point, why shouldn't you try it out!
